Small World Toys’ Preschool Laptop is packed with fun activities and rewarding lights and sounds. It is a great way to introduce kids to computers. The realistic mouse activates a matching game, while the colorful buttons teach numbers and makes sounds. Pictures light up on the screen when clicked to provide visual stimulation and teach cause-and-effect. It includes a starter pack of batteries, too. I’m always annoyed to have to buy batteries separately. That’s a big plus! More >>

  1. I first purchased this new at W**M*** for $10 when my son was just about 1 year old, and laughed when I saw it in One Step Ahead’s catalog for $29. He absolutely loved it, and I really thought I had put it in the attic. Now that DD is 1, we went looking for it, and can’t find it. I don’t know if I gave it to someone, or if the attic monster took it, but it’s gone. Now, of course, W**M*** doesn’t sell it. They only sell the V-Tech Baby Laptop, which doesn’t have nearly so many buttons. I really worry about buying that one–although I guess I will, and keep the receipt in case DD is as bored with it as I fear she will be. I don’t want to pay over $20 for this, but I may have to!

  2. I bought this for my baby because his older brother used to have one and loved it. So did he…until he jumped on it and broke a corner of the lid thing and I had to put it away. It’s not the fault of the company (my youngest is pretty rough on all his toys).

This is a great toy for parents who want to teach basic counting and for little ones who like to push buttons and make things happen!

  3. I bought this for our 8 month old and was shocked when I received it. It’s made in China and, while I know most plastic, electronic toys are made in China, this really looks like something that you would buy for $1 at the Dollar Store. It reeks of cheapness. I am sending it back and ordering another “laptop” for my baby from a more reputable brand.

My 20-month old LOVES buttons. This ‘computer’ is a favorite. Lots of buttons, games, etc. It is keeping her attention for quite a while.

  5. I gave this gift to my 18 month old granddaughter. The toy is great. She loves the sounds of the musical instruments.. It is a wonderful first computer.
