Established in 1995, LeapFrog has been on the cutting edge of merging education and technology. And, it’s products are popular, 90 million units sold as of 2008. The company’s products, such as the LeapFrog® Leapster® Learning Game System, prove that videogame-based learning is popular and that parents perceive it as a worthwhile investment. My son is not yet at the videogame stage, but other Leapfrog products for the younger set, such as this LeapFrog Learn & Groove Musical Table, are just his speed. He loves the piano keys, although there are only a few notes. We’ve found other musical toys, such as a book and keyboard combination, in our local grocery store that have really engaged his musical side.
