1.2 < --two is tenths.
1.23 <---three is hundredths
1.234 <----Four is thousandths

For every space after the decimal it's just adding another few zeros.

See? =]

ten * ten = hundred --> .01 (that’s the thousand)
hundred * ten = thousand –> .001 (thats the thousand)
