Sounds like he wants to hold on to you. Some people feel having a baby is making sure you have a part of them, and a way to keep you together or connected.
Maybe he’s feeling a bit insecure and wants to tie you to him. If everything is not really good, you need to avoid having children. Nice to see someone waiting until after marriage, actually.
That’s happening to my bf now. I asked him and he said he always said from when he was little that he was only going to live 2 decades. His is now 22 and says he only has less than 8 years to live so he needs to have a baby so something of his can continue living. lmao . . I think its silly and dumb but oh well. We are getting married next April so I told him he still has time to live and make one. I told my cousin about it and she said he wants to tie my down earlier than a year to make sure we get married. So, just ask him.

he wants to make sure he’ll not lose you, yea a baby is one of the best ways to strenghten a relationship to the fullest it can get.
Just so you think this through…
Have you seen anything in the Marriage & Divorce section that would lead you to believe that having a child in the mix is a relationship-strengthener? Kids complicate things and unless you’re both ready to deal with those complications, you’re much better off waiting.
Maybe he just changed his mind. Lol I know what you’re talking about though. While I was pregnant with my son my husband said that he wanted to wait a while before we had another one and shortly after we had our son he proclaimed that he wanted another baby. Now we have a boy and a girl. Guys do weird stuff sometimes don’t they?
If you aren’t ready – tell him. Explain that you would rather wait.
