I have just one of these long vowel phonics readers: Jane and Babe. The pictures are gorgeous – bright, colorful, endearing and fun. The text is excellent – simple enough for this reading level, fun, engaging, interesting, and slightly more challenging with a little longer sentences. Many so-called “early readers” are way too complex for true beginning readers. This book is excellent! Paperback with bright, glossy pages.
