U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
If you have questions about toy or product safety, go here first. It’s a good idea to just check the site regularly. This is the agency charged with protecting the public from serious risks of injury or death from 15,000 types of consumer products. There is a current recall for one educational learning toy, Little Tikes Children’s Toy Workshop Sets and Trucks due to choking hazard.

National Education for the Education of Young Children
The mission of NAEYC is to provide quality educational and developmental resources for children from birth to 8 years old. The site is geared towards early childhood education professionals, but does feature resources for families and informative articles.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website. Find all lead toy product recalls.

Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), The Whole Child
Provides the “ABC’s of Child Development” for parents, and early care and education providers.

National Center for Education Statistics
Stay up to date on what is going on with our youth’s education across the nation. You may experience data overload, so look for NCES annual reports, which summarize a lot of the site’s information in a digestible format.
